Meletius Metaxakis (1871–1935) was a prominent Orthodox Christian cleric who served as both Patriarch of Constantinople (1921–1923) and Patriarch of Alexandria (1926–1935), known for his bold reforms and efforts to modernize the Eastern Orthodox Church, including advocating for the adoption of the Revised Julian Calendar. He visited Mount Vernon in 1918.
