This oak cask-aged rum was made in 2018 by fermenting high-grade molasses and distilled in wood-fired pot stills. George Washington's Rum is a collaboration with Lisa Wicker of Widow Jane Distillery and Maggie Campbell of Privateer Rum.

Nose: vanilla, cinnamon, fireball, and butterscotch
Taste: smooth and creamy with notes of allspice and clove

Holiday Closures
Distilled spirits cannot be purchased at The Shops at Mount Vernon or at the Gristmill Shop on Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
According to Virginia law, distilled spirits may only be sold on-site when Virginia ABC retail stores are open. We are not permitted to sell distilled spirits at our retail stores when ABC stores are closed.
These closures do not apply to our online store whiskey.mountvernon.org. Our distilled spirits can be purchased online 365 days a year.
