Groups Can Dine with the Mansion in View
While The General's Canteen is under renovation, groups have a special opportunity to dine on our scenic 12-acre field in a large, covered outdoor dining tent with the Mansion in view.
Dining under a large tent with views of the historic area and the West Gate is a rare opportunity. For many students, this will be a memorable and unique part of their visit.
2026 Group Meal Options
The General's Canteen
Breakfast Buffet – $12.50 per person. Breakfast buffets can be booked as early as 7 a.m. and must end by 9:30 a.m. Requires 2-week advance notice. 50 person minimum.
Student Lunches & Boxed To-Go Lunches – Student lunches may be enjoyed at The General's Canteen or taken to-go. Boxed To-go lunches are $15 per person. These can be picked up at The General's Canteen.
Group Meal Passes – Save with our meal pass plans. Valid for use in The General's Canteen only. Requires 14 business days' advance notice.
Dietary & Allergen Information – View items available at The General's Canteen that are vegetarian, gluten-free, egg-free, soy-free, and dairy-free.
Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant
Groups are welcome to savor the flavors of early America at the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant, located just footsteps from George Washington's historic estate.
This seated experience in a more tranquil 18th-century atmosphere offers buffets for breakfast and lunch, as well as plated lunches.
