Transportation Recommendations
- Consider using ride-sharing services such as Uber or Lyft to get to Mount Vernon.
- The Fairfax County Bus Connector #101 is a 20-minute ride from the Huntington Avenue metro station. Learn more about public transportation options.
- On-site parking may fill during peak arrival times, and you may be directed to our overflow parking lot, which can be accessed via the CCVC gate located at the intersection of Mount Vernon Highway and the George Washington Memorial Parkway.
- Overflow parking and a free shuttle service is available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Mount Vernon High School on select days for special events. Follow directional signage along Mount Vernon Highway.
- There is no Mount Vernon event parking or shuttle service at the Good Shepard Catholic Church located on Mount Vernon Highway.
- Please respect our neighbors' properties. Park only in designated areas.
- For your own safety, there is absolutely no parking along the George Washington Memorial Parkway.
Overflow Parking Location
NOTE: Overflow parking is available only on Presidents' Day, Revolutionary War Weekend, and An American Celebration on July 4. Shuttle service to the overflow parking location will stop at 5 p.m. The overflow parking location is for daytime events only.
