Raise a Glass to 250 Years of Our Nation at Washington's Historic Estate
Bring a blanket and settle in on the east lawn, where sweeping views of the Potomac River set the scene for a relaxed evening at Mount Vernon as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Sample wines from Virginia wineries and take home a commemorative wine glass to mark the occasion (valid ID required for wine service).
Throughout the evening, enjoy live music by The Hula Monsters, adding a laid-back soundtrack to this historic celebration.
Explore the Newly Preserved Mansion After Hours
Step inside the Mansion in the evening, a rare opportunity, to see George Washington’s home from a whole new perspective.
View newly restored rooms such as the Washingtons' Bedchamber, featuring new wallpaper that showcases how the room would have looked in 1799.
Meet General Washington
Pose for a photo with George Washington himself and take the chance to ask questions about the General’s life, leadership, and legacy during this milestone year in American history.
