Discover something new at Mount Vernon.
- Learn about the flags used during the Revolutionary War at the Hands-on-History Center, accessible through the Education Center.
- Listen to the story time on the bowling green at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3 p.m. Staff will read Henry and the Cannons: An Extraordinary True Story of the American Revolution.
- Look for the Discovery Cart on the bowling green and learn about the role of African Americans in the American Revolution.
Music & History for Veterans Day
Enjoy a special program for Veterans Day, including patriotic medleys, a brief history of Veterans Day, and a Q&A session with Mount Vernon's Resident Fifer.
In case of rain, the program will be held inside the Greenhouse in the upper garden.
