Martha Washington

Martha Dandridge Custis Washington (June 2, 1731 — May 22, 1802) was the wife of George Washington. She wed George Washington in 1759 as a young widow with two children. After spending about half of the Revolutionary War at the front with General Washington, she served as the first First Lady of the United States.
