Known by the nickname "Silla," she was married to Slamin' Joe who worked and lived at the Mansion House Farm. In 1786, Silla was listed as being a "labouring" woman who worked at Dogue Run Farm. Six years later, Silla was noted as being a plower. Silla had six children that survived childbirth. In October of 1796, Silla attempted to run away from Mount Vernon. She was returned to the plantation by William Minter Green, who was paid one pound. Priscilla's children were Sophia (b. 1785), Savary (b. 1786), Penny (b. 1788), Israel (b. 1789), Isrias (b. 1796), Christopher (b. 1798).1
