This bottle of George Washington’s Straight Rye Whiskey is one of a limited number made at Mount Vernon’s reconstructed distillery.

Its mash bill consists of 60% rye, 35% corn, and 5% malted barley—a recipe discovered in Washington’s distillery ledgers from 1798 and 1799. His whiskey was distilled at least twice before being sent to market in its unaged, colorless form.

This whiskey was aged for four years on the Mount Vernon Estate in charred oak barrels. This is the first batch of Premium Straight Rye Whiskey produced at George Washington’s Distillery.

NOTE: this special batch is limited to 200 bottles.
