Music at Mount Vernon: Music Series

Music at Mount Vernon is a three-part series designed to both entertain and educate through history and music. Three concerts of chamber music, performed by members of the National Symphony Orchestra, will be prefaced by a brief piece of Mount Vernon history. After each concert, guests will adjourn for a reception of champagne and gourmet chocolates with the musicians.

Chamber Music featuring Joel Fuller, violin; Alexandra Osborne, violin; Mahoko Eguchi, viola; and Rachel Young, cello.

The performance will include:
• Dvořák, Selections from Cypresses for String Quartet
• Beethoven String Quartet No. 11 in F minor, Op. 95 (Serioso)

FEBRUARY 25, 2014, 7 P.M.
Chamber Music featuring Heather LeDoux Green, violin; Alexandra Osborne, violin; Abigail Evans, viola; Heidi Remick, viola; Rachel Young, cello; and Ira Gold, double bass.

The performance will include:
• M. Haydn, Divertimento in E-flat Major
• Dvořák, Terzetto, Op. 74
• Brahms, String Sextet No. 2, Op. 36

MARCH 25, 2014, 7 P.M.
Chamber Music featuring Alice Weinreb, flute; Nicholas Stovall, oboe; Loren Kitt, clarinet; Truman Harris, bassoon; and Laurel Bennert Ohlson, horn.

The performance will include:
• Ravel, Le Tombeau de Couperin, arr. Mason Jones
