Learn About Military Technology in the Revolutionary Era

Join the Education Team and Mount Vernon Revolutionary War Encampment Staff to explore the disparities between the Continental and British armies and how this impacted Henry Knox’s journey to Fort Ticonderoga.

During the workshop, you will participate in hands-on activities, analyze primary sources, explore digital resources, and discuss how to bring the STEAM work behind military technology during the revolutionary era into your classrooms.

Gain confidence in integrating history and STEAM concepts in an interdisciplinary context to support student learning while building a network of local peers. Attend with a teaching partner or collaborative team to design learning experiences to take back to your classroom, department, grade level, and/or school.

Please note: This workshop will include a discussion about weapons.
