Take an updated Mansion tour that shares how Mount Vernon shaped Washington’s journey through the American Revolution to the presidency. Advance registration is recommended to reserve your desired tour time and a $2 reservation fee will apply. Without advance registration, tours are first come, first serve.

Tips for Your Visit

Parking

Parking is free.

Designated free bus parking is available along Route 235 across from the Mount Vernon Post Office. Licensed tour operators and bus drivers receive free admission (limit one driver and one operator per bus). 

Group Dining

Groups can dine on-site at the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant or at our food court pavilion. 

  • Group breakfast, lunch buffets, and plated lunches are available at the restaurant.
  • Food court options include breakfast buffets, meal passes, student lunches, and boxed lunches to-go.
