  • 10 sweet potatoes
  • 3 oranges
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup strained honey
  • Fine bread crumbs


Boil sweet potatoes until almost tender. Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes in the bottom of a casserole. Sprinkle with brown sugar, dot with butter and cover with a layer of thinly sliced oranges with the skin left on. Repeat layers until ingredients are used. Pour over orange juice mixed with honey. Cover top with brown sugar mixed with fine bread crumbs. Dot with butter. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 1 hour.
