For the safety and enjoyment of all at evening events, George Washington's Mount Vernon has the following rules and restrictions.
- This event takes place rain or shine.
- All sales are final, with no refunds.
- Mount Vernon can be accessed from the Washington, D.C. metro by car or public transportation.
- The estate has many areas with uneven terrain, steep inclines, and varying levels of light. See our Accessibility Information page for more information.
Food & Drink
- No outside food or beverages are allowed except bottled water.
- Concessions by the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant will be available for purchase. Credit cards are accepted for concessions.
What to Bring
- Seating is not provided. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or small lawn chair.
What Not to Bring
- Prohibited items include tents, tables, pop-ups, grills, beach or free-standing umbrellas, coolers, and glass containers.
- Dogs are not permitted during evening events.
