Applications are now being accepted for the 2020 Mount Vernon Georgian Papers Fellowship. The fellowship is open to recent Ph.D.s and mid-career faculty as well as advanced scholars and independent researchers with topics exploring Washington in an international or comparative context. The fellowship is residential, with one month spent at the Washington Library and two months spent in London/Windsor.

To apply please provide the following: 

  1. A curriculum vitae.
  2. A 1,000-word fellowship proposal highlighting how you intend to use the collection and research assets of both the Washington Library and the Georgian Archives.
  3. Two letters of recommendation sent confidentially to Mount Vernon by the references.
