Farm report of all the work done on the five farms of Mount Vernon during the week of February 10-16, 1793. The report divides each farm into its own section and breaks down the different types of labor. It notes the accomplished work, the workdays lost by sickness, the increase of livestock, and the amount of grain ground at the mill. This document gives insight into slavery at Mount Vernon by mentioning the names of some enslaved individuals and the labor they conducted on the farms. It documents the birth of enslaved children in the same section that it documents the birth of new livestock, a telling reminder that enslaved people were viewed as property.
