The day-long workshop will examine George Washington’s pivotal role as commander in chief during the Revolutionary War through diverse primary sources such as maps, objects, and documents. Dr. William Fowler of Northeastern University will explore Washington’s leadership during the war while staff from the New York Historical Society will showcase their new exhibition, Mapping America’s Road from Revolution to Independence, and curriculum on the Battle of Brooklyn.
