Women and the Revolution Workshop
This full-day educator workshop hosted at the New-York Historical Society will enrich our teaching of the American Revolution by exploring the experiences and contributions of the women who lived through it. Engage with primary source materials from the new unit of our Women & the American Story curriculum, tour N-YHS galleries, and hear from scholars and educators from N-YHS and George Washington’s Mount Vernon. Teachers will take home classroom-ready resources and strategies to help their students discover new voices often left out of the narrative of the Revolution. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Participants will receive 5.5 CTLE hours. $15 per person ($10 for members)
