Experience the Revolution in 4D

Exclusively at Mount Vernon, this unique theater experience highlights Washington's role in the Revolutionary War complete with snow, fog, cannon shots and other 4D effects.

The Revolutionary War Theater—where cannons fire and snow falls every day—is one of Mount Vernon’s most popular attractions. Here our guests learn about George Washington and the three campaigns – Boston, Trenton, and Yorktown—that led to victory in the War for Independence.

Designed to bring these historical moments to life, the 4D effects include cutting-edge animations, falling snow, theatrical lighting, fog, and gripping live-action sequences.

The Revolutionary War Theater in 4D is made possible thanks to the Robert H. Smith Family Foundation.

This new presentation is generously sponsored by the Robert H. Smith Family Foundation.
