For your safety, bags/containers larger than 16x16x8" are prohibited, and all bags are subject to inspection.

The Washington Library is open to all researchers and scholars, by appointment only.
Buses are permitted to stop to unload passengers along the Parkway Circle in front of the Main Gate. The circle is for unloading. Designated bus parking is located along Route 235 across from the Mount Vernon Post Office.
Buses are not permitted to idle in excess of 10 minutes in any location.
Bus drivers found in violation of the bus idling rule will receive a warning; any driver found to violate the rule after receiving a warning will be directed to remove his or her bus from the parking area immediately.
Mount Vernon appreciates the cooperation of bus drivers and professional guides. Admission for drivers and guides is always free and meals at the Mount Vernon Inn and the Food Court at Mount Vernon are 25% off with identification (One driver and one professional guide per group).
