About David
Head is an assistant professor of history at the University of Central Florida, where he teaches courses on early America. His first book, Privateers of the Americas: Spanish American Privateering from the United States in the Early Republic, was published by the University of Georgia Press in October 2015. Dr. Head is the recipient of the Amanda and Greg Gregory Family Fellowship.
