Mount Vernon Salutes Veterans

MOUNT VERNON, VA - In honor of our nation's veterans, Mount Vernon admits FREE all active duty, former, or retired military personnel. 

Honored guests are also invited to place a flower at Washington’s Tomb where the Sons of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the American Revolution present a wreathlaying ceremony in honor of our nation's veterans. Special activities include a free patriotic community concert by the barbershop chorus The Harmony Heritage Singers and a performance by the United States Air Force String Orchestra.

Schedule of Events:

11:00 a.m.: Performance by the Harmony Heritage Singers in the Robert H. & Clarice Smith Auditorium

2:00 p.m.: Sons of the American Revolution & Daughters of the American Revolution ceremony at the Tomb

3:00 p.m.: Performance by the United States Air Force String Orchestra in the Robert H. & Clarice Smith Auditorium
