At Mount Vernon, the front parlor was recently restored and re-opened in George Washington's mansion. Our preservation and collections teams spent over a year working on it to look perfect. Inside the front parlor is period correct furniture that was handmade by a carpenter in Williamsburg, VA. In this video, we take you behind the scenes and show all the hard work and skill it took to recreate the chairs that now sit in George Washington's front parlor.
