Wallpaper border fragment, taken from the Washington Bedchamber at Mount Vernon. The wallpaper is printed on the obverse in grisaille, with a pattern of trophies and floral sprays. Some of the areas of the pattern have been overdrawn over in ink, in a later attempt to discern the pattern. On the reverse, traces of a printed swag pattern in shades of orange and black are visible.
