View Larger Tea caddy

Description

Barrel-shaped tea caddy with a short neck on an integral foot ring, transfer-printed in underglaze cobalt blue. The front is printed with a large tree peony behind a zig-zag fence. On the back of the caddy are two smaller scenes, one with a hut on a wooded bank with two birds above, and the other of bamboo and trees on a rocky bank. A double blue line encircles the shoulder. The interior is glazed.

This tea caddy was missing its lid when it was purchased.
