Description

A:
Rectangular table frame with four rounded legs. The frame features four thumbnail-molded rails nailed to two boards. Two battens are pegged to the underside of the bottom, into which two pairs of splayed legs with tapered tops are socketed at each end. The legs were reinforced by a stretcher-and-brace system, but only one stretcher remains in place. The detached stretcher (21 x 2 x 1) and two braces (27 ½ x 1 ¾ and 27 ½ x 1 5/8) are resting on top of the marble slab.
