With the arrival of spring, the Four County Quilters Guild of Maryland presents a special exhibit of quilts inspired by the gardens at Mount Vernon.

Martha Washington's Legacy

The exhibit also celebrates Martha Washington and her quilting legacy. Mount Vernon holds three extraordinary pieced quilts by Mrs. Washington, the only ones currently known to have survived.

Reproduction Martha Washington Quilt

During the show, guests will have an opportunity to see and learn more about a reproduction of one of the original Martha Washington quilt tops being made by guild member and expert hand-quilter Cecil Marzulli.
