George Washington once ran the largest whiskey distillery in America, producing rye whiskey and brandies at his Mount Vernon estate. Mount Vernon honors George Washington’s legacy and the rich tradition of distilled spirits in Virginia at this first-ever whiskey festival.

Just 125 tickets are available for this exclusive hands-on experience at George Washington's Distillery before the whiskey festival. Set barrels with mash alongside Mount Vernon's historic trades team and witness distilling in action during private tours of the site. Enjoy curated food tables prepared by a celebrity chef and tastings of Mount Vernon's whiskey. There will also be a silent auction throughout the evening.
Bill Thomas, owner of Jack Rose Dining Saloon, will pour a rare whiskey, and George Washington's 4-Year Whiskey will be poured and tasted by a celebrity guest. Additional industry experts in attendance include:

With Washington's Mansion in view, sample George Washington’s Rye Whiskey and spirits from 14 Virginia distillers before voting for your favorite. Curated food accompanies the spirits and complements the pour.
Hear from Steve Bashore, Mount Vernon’s director of historic trades, and other spirits industry titans. Watch 18th-century coopering demonstrations, sample 18th-century baking using flour ground at the gristmill, and enjoy music and entertainment throughout the evening.
Non-alcoholic beverages are available for designated drivers.
