Fall Dried Wreath Workshop

Create a festive fall wreath in a two-hour workshop featuring dried seed pods from Mount Vernon’s Southern magnolia and sweet gum trees.

Melanie Welles Creamer, Senior Manager of Horticulture, will teach the class in the Production Greenhouses giving participants a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes horticulture facilities.

This class is for adults, and children under 16 may not attend. We are unable to accommodate any additional guests who have not purchased tickets. Includes estate admission.

Create a One-of-a-Kind Wreath

Learn from Mount Vernon's Senior Manager of Horticulture, Melanie Welles Creamer, and create a custom wreath.

Class materials include dried seed pods from Mount Vernon’s Southern magnolia and sweet gum trees.

Preserved banksiana, protea rosettes, teasil, oranges, and milkweed pods will also be used to capture the spirit of autumn.

Admission to Mount Vernon Included

On the day of your class, present your ticket at the gate to receive admission to the estate.

Mount Vernon is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
