Join us this summer for camp at Mount Vernon! Campers discover George Washington’s legacy by exploring his estate through activities focusing on archaeology, music, horticulture, and more. They also meet people from Washington’s world, learn about everyday life in the 18th century, and meet some of the heritage breed animals on the estate. Campers have the opportunity at an open house on Friday to showcase their discoveries for their families.

Schedule

Session 1: July 8-12, 9am-3pm
Session 2: July 22-26, 9am-3pm

Drop off begins at 8:45am. Camp activities begin promptly at 9am. Pick up is at 3pm. On Friday at 1pm, camper families are invited to the open house. Camp activities will end around 2pm on this day.

Registration

Registration fee includes lunches, snacks, backpacks, and a Camp Washington t-shirt.

Beginning in March, Mount Vernon will send to guardians a registration packet to collect important information about campers, such as allergies and meal preferences.

Mount Vernon reserves the right to cancel a session no less than two days before camp begins if registration is under eight participants. In this event, you will be notified by phone or e-mail and offered credit for another program, a full refund, or the option to donate your camp fee to Mount Vernon.

Two scholarships will be awarded to those who are interested in learning about the 18th century and have good behavior. Each scholarship includes a full week of camp.
