• 1 medium-sized cabbage
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
  • 1/2 pint light cream or milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Directions

    Chop cabbage medium fine. Melt butter in frying pan. Sauté cabbage, onions, salt and pepper until both cabbage and onions are soft. Add cream to cabbage mixture and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes on top of stove. For a less rich dish, milk may be substituted.

    Serves 6
