• 1 large head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup salad oil
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • Directions

    Combine the shredded cabbage and onion in a wooden bowl. Mix the remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a full rolling boil Pour over the cabbage mixture and mix well. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator.

    Serves 6 to 10
