• 1 (9 ounce) package frozen artichoke hearts
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 boned single chicken breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 4 strips bacon
  • 1/2 cup dry vermouth
  • Directions

    Seperate frozen artichoke hearts. Place in single layer in shallow baking dish. Add the water, salt and pepper. Place chicken breasts, skin side up, completely covering artichoke hearts. Sprinkle with more salt and pepper and the oregano. Top with bacon strips. Add the vermouth, pouring a little over the top of each chicken breast. Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour or untill tender add more vermouth for blasting if necessary.

    Serves 4
