Enjoy this modern Cheese Filled Kumquat recipe.


  • 1/2 pound fresh kumquats
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 pint water
  • Cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • Directions

    Cook well-washed cumquats for 15 to 20 minutes; drain. Make a syrup of water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes. Add kumquats and boil slowly until liquid is syrupy and the fruit is transparent. When cool, drain and cut in half. Scoop out the interior and stuff the halves with cream cheese blended with a little cream to make it smooth.

    Serves 10 to 15
