• 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup slightly crushed corn flakes
  • 2 pounds apples (Granny Smith, if possible), peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Warm cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • Directions

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a bowl mix flour, brown sugar and butter and blend with fingers. Add corn flakes. Arrange apples in a buttered baking dish and sprinkle with lemon juice and top with corn flake mixture. Bake for 30 minutes and serve with warm cream and top with walnuts.

    Serves 4 to 6
