Navigating History & STEM in the Classroom
Join staff from Mount Vernon and GulfQuest for a professional development workshop that explores the intersection of History and STEM when studying the Gulf of Mexico. Maritime historians and 18th century navigation activities will bring the past to life in meaningful ways that connect directly to local standards.
Participants will also have the opportunity to sign up for an optional tour of the historic cemetery at the program's conclusion.
Substitute funding is available after attendance.
For those who teach in Mobile County Public Schools, please also register using STI PD. The workshop title number is SS2017-2.
