Educators' Evening: Education, Then and Now
Join Mount Vernon's K12 & Youth Programs Department to celebrate the season with a special night dedicated to K12 teachers nationwide. Escape for the evening and enjoy a virtual performance that will make connections between the educational opportunities that existed in Washington's time and the current events affecting education in our time.
This year we welcome Mount Vernon's own Character Interpreters who will share the diverse educational experiences of the 18th century through their portrayals of Martha Washington, enslaved housemaid Caroline Branham, and Scottish physician Dr. James Craik.
