Connect STEM Topics With History

Join our Education staff and K-12 teachers from across the country to explore the many connections between STEM and the history of George Washington's Mount Vernon and the 18th century.

Learn from Mount Vernon's Historic Trades, Historic Preservation, and Collections teams through presentations on topics including chocolate making, homespun textiles, and more.   

Gain confidence integrating history and STEM concepts in an interdisciplinary context to support student learning while building a network of content peers.

  • 30 minutes of asynchronous work will be required prior to participation.
  • Priority will be given to teachers and/or coordinators working in Title 1 schools.
  • Each workshop is limited to 50 teachers 
  • Register for one workshop only (the content presented in each workshop is identical, but scaled for grade level)
