NEW for June 2020: Guided Virtual Tours of Mount Vernon
This summer, our Education Department is offering a no-charge guided exploration of Mount Vernon to better understand George Washington, his life at the estate, and his impact on the world in the 18th century.

Join members of our Education, Historic Trades, Interpretation, and Curatorial departments for a guided exploration of Mount Vernon to better understand George Washington, his life at the estate, and his impact on the world in the 18th century. Each narrated, interactive exploration will use our virtual tour as a backdrop to discuss important events and themes in the lives of George Washington, his family, and the enslaved population that lived on the estate.

This field trip opportunity is open to all K12 teachers and tour groups. Programs are 60 minutes and are offered Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:00am, 11:30am, 2:00pm, and 3:30pm EDT. Each program will include an introduction, a narration of the virtual tour by MV expert, and an interactive Q&A between the students and the expert. All programs are privately hosted using the Webex platform.
