Looking to bring George Washington into your classroom? Mount Vernon offers Distance Learning programs that bring experts and characters from Washington's world into the classroom using Skype, Google Hangout, or Facetime.

Available for all ages, topics for distance learning programs include an overview of Washington's life, the American Revolution, the Constitution and Presidency, slavery at Mount Vernon, agriculture at Mount Vernon, and life at Mount Vernon.

Distance Learning programs at Mount Vernon are free of charge, confirmed based on the availability of staff, and need to be reserved at least three weeks in advance. In lieu of a program charge, teachers requesting Distance Learning programs will be asked to share feedback on the program, provide classroom resources created for the program to use on Mount Vernon's website, or review existing Mount Vernon materials at the request of the Mount Vernon Education Department.
