What are the rates to rent the Mount Vernon Inn?

When may I visit the Mount Vernon Inn?

Tours are conducted by appointment Monday through Saturday. Please call 703.780.0011 to book your visit and learn more about having your event at Mount Vernon Inn!

What is included in the rental rate?

When you book your wedding at the Mount Vernon Inn we include the tables, chairs, silverware, flatware, glassware, linens and house centerpieces.

May I bring in my own catering?

All food and beverage service is provided onsite by the Mount Vernon Inn. Only specialty cakes are allowed from outside vendors.

How much will my event cost?

The cost = Rental Fee + Catering + Bar Service + Service Fee (20%) + VA Sales Tax (6%) = TOTAL. Other fees such as cake cutting, satellite bar and ceremony may apply.

May I have my ceremony onsite?

Yes! The Mount Vernon Inn boasts a beautiful sunken garden space ideal for wedding ceremonies. An elegant brick and slate outdoor courtyard will hold approximately 120-160 seats under a 30x30 white tent.

May we bring our own alcohol?

No alcohol will be permitted to be brought in from the outside.

Are you conveniently located?

The Mount Vernon Inn is conveniently located just 8 miles south of Old Town Alexandria and 16 miles south of Washington, DC.

How much parking do you have?

We are located on George Washington’s historic estate and thus have ample free parking in any of our three visitor lots.

What are the restrictions on candles & red wine?

There are no restrictions against red wine and we certainly welcome candlelight to add to our charming private dining rooms.
