Joe Downer, former Mount Vernon intern from Woodbridge, Virginia begins his MA in Anthropology at George Washington University in August.
Michael Goodwin, a Florida native and recent BA from University of Florida’s History Department begins MA work with Florida Atlantic University’s History Department.
Frank Poalillo is our third student participating for graduate credit. He is a recent history BA from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania and a New Jersey native. He hopes to be accepted to graduate school next year.
Rhonda Sullivan is pursuing her MS from Delaware State University in Historic Preservation. She lives in Wilmington, Delaware.
Melissa Agnew is a rising senior at Oklahoma State University majoring in Sociology/Anthropology. She’s interested in a career in Archaeology.
Jamesha Gibson is a junior at the College of William and Mary. She’s pursuing a career in historic preservation.
Danielle Gilbert is a rising junior at Johns Hopkins University and is looking forward to gaining experience in archaeological fieldwork.
Katie Harris is a junior transfer entering George Mason University. She is a double major in History and Anthropology. She is from Manassas, VA and she’s exploring archaeology as a career option.
Charles Simpson is also a student at George Mason University, entering his senior year. His major is Anthropology.
These nine students are joined by interns Allyson Emblom, completing her “senior experience” with Alexandria’s T.C. Williams High School (with archaeology as a career goal) in addition to Brittany Marsh (BA, George Mason University, starting her MA at Mississippi State in August) and Catarina Conceicao (BA, Virginia Commonwealth University).
