The Shops at Mount Vernon

Not simply a shop but a series of shopping experiences, The Shops at Mount Vernon include the largest and best George Washington bookstore in the world, the Christmas Corner to deck the halls 12 months a year, and a food and wine selection that features Virginia’s finest.

With unique gifts, reproductions of Mount Vernon treasures, and toys and games from a bygone era, The Shops are a browser’s paradise perfect for corporate and hostess gifts. Don’t just think souvenirs – think remembrances of a historic journey!

The Shops at Mount Vernon include the main shops in the Mount Vernon Inn Complex, the Lady Washington Shop in the historic area, the Gristmill Shop at the Distillery & Gristmill, and the Wharf Shop located near the river.

Admission tickets to Mount Vernon are not required for the Shops.

Hours of Operation
The Shops in the Mount Vernon Inn Complex are open daily except Christmas Day. March - October from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; November - February, from 9:00 am. to 5:00 p.m.
