Character Tours at Mount Vernon

Step back in time as you tour Washington’s Estate! In this new program, groups will follow a lively character from Washington’s world as he or she goes about their daily activities, making several stops along the way. Guests will learn firsthand about life on the estate and what this reveals about George Washington and the 18th century.

These immersive tours last 30 to 45 minutes and can accommodate up to 30 guests.

Character Tours cost $5 (in addition to Estate admission)

Advance reservations are required. Reserve your character tour as part of your online group reservation request.

Character tours do not include a tour of the mansion and does not give your group preferential line status.
