The Mount Vernon Holiday Trolley

Introducing the Mount Vernon Holiday Trolley—a new way to get to George Washington’s estate from his adopted hometown, Alexandria, Virginia.

Enjoy round-trip express transportation between Old Town Alexandria and Mount Vernon on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays other select dates this holiday season, beginning Thanksgiving weekend.

Board the fun and festive Mount Vernon Holiday Trolley near the Alexandria Visitors Center and Market Square (at the corner of King and North Fairfax Streets, 301 King Street) every hour, on the hour, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and spend the day experiencing Christmas at Mount Vernon. The trolley returns to Alexandria every hour on the half-hour until 4:30 p.m.

Adults enjoy round-trip transportation and entry to Christmas at Mount Vernon for just $25. Youth ages 6 to 11 ride the trolley for free (with purchase of an $8 admission ticket to the estate); children ages 5 and under are free.

The trolley will operate Friday through Sunday, November 29 through December 29. No service is offered on Saturday, December 7, the day of Old Town’s Scottish Christmas Walk parade. The trolley will also operate on Thursday, December 26.
