Membership in The Washington Council is extended to individuals who make annual gifts of cash, securities, or personal property valued at $10,000 or more. In addition to the entire list of benefits provided to Mount Vernon One Hundred members, those who join The Washington Council are encouraged to enhance their involvement through the following opportunities:

• Invitation to George Washington’s Birthday, a black-tie dinner party that features a prominent speaker.
• Freedom to arrange in advance private tours of George Washington’s estate with a special focus on horticulture, collections, architecture, or archaeology, led by Mount Vernon’s most accomplished experts and scholars.
• Unlimited complimentary use of audio tours of the estate.
• Special travel opportunities organized by Mount Vernon to national and international destinations important in the life of George Washington.
