Mount Vernon Boxwood Necklace and Drop Earrings
The boxwood (Buxux Sempervirens) is an attractive evergreen that has graced formal gardens for centuries and continues to be used at Mount Vernon for decorative edgings. This lovely jewelry, inspired by boxwood cuttings from George Washington’s beloved estate, is created exclusively by Silver Seasons. Artist Michael Michaud uses the lost-wax casting method in making this jewelry. He perfects this technique by creating models from natural elements and the manipulating these “copies of nature” into his designs. Each piece is made of hand patinaed bronze with white freshwater pearls. The earring wires are made of sterling silver .
The necklace measures 18” long with a 1” extender. The earrings are priced at $85.00 a pair and the necklace is priced at $350.00. There is a savings of $25.00 when purchased as a set.
