The list of items down the left side of the page direct you to categories of products. Clicking on a category will take you to a page that further divides the categories into subcategories.
Clicking on one of these subcategories will take you to a list of the products that are available.

This list of products shows you their title, a small photograph and short description of the item (if available) and its price.
To view a larger picture, full description and to purchase the item, you may click on the
small picture, the title or the graphic that says click here to view item.

In the product display page you will see the large photograph and if available, there will be a link to view a greater photograph of the product.
The full description and the product's price are on the right of the page. Next to the price is a text
box where you can change the quantity that you would like to purchase.
At the bottom of the screen you may see a list of other items that you may also find interesting.
Clicking on any of these will take you to the detailed view for that product.
You may purchase a product by clicking the Add to Shopping Bag button below the description and price.

Once you click the Add to Shopping Bag button, you will be taken to a confirmation page that shows what you have added to your bag.
From here you may press the Continue Shopping button, which will take you back to the Online Store homepage,
or click the Proceed to Checkout button which will allow you to enter your details to finalize your purchase.

To save you time in the future, you may create a Profile that will be stored on the Mount Vernon site.
This profile will only save your billing address. Credit card information will not be retained on the site.
If you already have a profile set up, you can enter your username and password on the page that you get to when you clicked the
Proceed to Checkout button. If you do not have a profile set up, you can click on the Continue button and have the chance to create a
profile as you checkout.
