“A Merry Christmas” is the cheerful greeting inside these 5” x 7” holidays cards.  The scene on the front of the card shows Mount Vernon’s east front with portraits of George and Martha Washington accenting the corners.  The words “Washington Mansion Mount Vernon, Va.” appear across the bottom of the card.  The illustration originates from a group of vintage postcards sold as souvenirs at Mount Vernon from approximately 1900-1940 and are now in the permanent collection.
