Mount Vernon Hog Island Sheep Embroidery

Mount Vernon Hog Island Sheep Embroidery

Price: $14.95

Punchneedle embroidery kit for a Hog Island Sheep.  George Washington owned 600-1000 of this rare breed of sheep.  Today, Hog Island Sheep live and graze at the Pioneer Farm site at Mount Vernon.  This easy and exciting needlework technique is a modern-day counterpart to the old-fashioned rug hooking of yesteryear.  As you stitch a rich texture of tufted loops with a special needle, you are creating an heirloom project and connecting to days gone by.  The kit includes preprinted design on weaver’s cloth, DMC floss and instructions.  To finish this kit you will also need a three-strand punchneedle and threader and a five-inch embroidery/punchneedle hoop (not included).  The finished size is 3 ½” x 3”.

Made in America.
