Mount Vernon Circa 1792 East Front Mansion View Framed Print

Mount Vernon Circa 1792 East Front Mansion View Framed Print

Price: $155.00

George Washington once wrote that “ No estate in United America is more pleasantly situated than this.”  His Mansion at Mount Vernon is situated on a hill overlooking the Potomac River, and the Washington family spent many hours enjoying the spectacular view from the piazza. This 1792 painting attributed  to Edward Savage shows the east front of the Mansion and the surrounding lands of Washington’s  8,000-acre plantation. Today, this meticulously-restored historic home is preserved as a national shrine and is open to the public every day of the year.

The print measures 19” x 26”, including the gold frame. This east view of the Mansion matches the west view (#42564) and make a striking pair.
